User Policy & Acceptable Use

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to all users of GCSE Tutor, accessible at gcsetutor.app. By creating an account or using this service you agree to these terms.

2. Free trial

New users receive a 48-hour free trial upon signing up. The trial is available once per email address. If you delete your account and sign up again with the same address, you will not receive a second trial — see our privacy policy for the one thing we keep in order to know that. After the trial expires, a paid subscription is required to continue using the AI tutor.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use GCSE Tutor only for its intended purpose: GCSE study and revision. You must not:

• Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or bypass the AI system's instructions.
• Try to make the AI adopt a different identity or ignore its safety guidelines.
• Submit offensive, harmful, or illegal content.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the service.

4. Usage limits

To keep the tutor fast and fair for everyone, questions to the AI tutor have limits:

• During the free trial: up to 20 AI questions a day.
• On a paid plan: up to 100 AI questions a day.
• On every plan: up to 10 AI questions a minute.

Daily limits reset at midnight UTC (1am UK time during British Summer Time). When a limit is reached, the tutor says so and tells you when you can ask again.

5. Payments & cancellation

Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. A 7-Day Sprint gives you one week of access and a Monthly plan one month; each renews automatically at the end of its period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Account page ("Manage subscription"), up to and including the day before it renews.

Cancellation does not stop access immediately — your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that. When that period ends, your account and your progress are deleted, as described in our privacy policy.

The 14-day cooling-off period. UK law normally lets you cancel an online purchase within 14 days and get a refund. Before paying, you are asked to tick a box confirming that you want access to start straight away and that you therefore give up this refund right. You cannot buy a plan without ticking it, and we confirm your choice by email. This is separate from cancelling your subscription, which you can do at any time as described above.

Payments already made are non-refundable, including any unused portion of the current period, and including when you do not log in, do not use the service, or change your mind. This does not affect your statutory rights, for example if the service is not provided as described.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
